Community Impact Division

Purpose:

The Community Impact Division shall consists of the Chair, at least three (3) or more Board members and a host of community volunteers. The Division shall serve the community and the United Way Board of Directors by efficiently and effectively allocating United Way resources to community partners that help people, change lives, and build community. The work of the Division shall be carried out with the assistance of the Community Impact Teams as determined and defined by the Board of Directors.

Duties of the Division include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate and oversee the organization's resource distribution process.
  • Identify for the Board, the education, income and health and human service needs in the United Way of North Central Iowa service area.
  • Review the services of local and regional providers, organizations, and agencies in meeting community needs.
  • Review and evaluate all requests for financial and other resources based upon the strategies developed by the Board.
  • Monitor service delivery to assure adherence to accepted purposes.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Board.

Community Impact Division Meetings

 The 2nd Wednesday of every other month, 7:00 AM at United Way. Other meetings will be scheduled as needed.
