The “Wheels for Work” program is providing transportation freedom to another North Iowa Family.
The donated vehicle was checked out and repaired by Mason City Motor Company while the North Iowa Community Action Organization conducted a rigorous application process. The vehicle has been given to a single mother with a full-time job. Jodee O’Brien of the United Way of North Central Iowa says before this, the woman had to rely on rides or borrowing vehicles to get to work and to get her kids to child care.
The vehicle was donated by former North Iowa residents Daniel and Megan Butler. If you would like to donate your vehicle, contact Brian Taylor at Mason City Motor Company, 641-424-4033.
The “Wheels for Work” program is run by the United Way of North Central Iowa and its partner agencies.
