Women United is organizing a mentoring program for women by women. We believe that quality mentoring relationships are powerful and transformative experiences for both the mentee and mentor. Mentors do not need to be experts or skilled educators. Mentoring candidates should be excellent listeners, compassionate, and available for three-month relationships.
Why Mentoring?
- Only 14% of mentor relationships started by asking someone to be their mentor. 61% of relationships developed naturally (Forbes).
- 87% of mentors and mentees feel empowered by their mentoring relationships and have developed greater confidence (Women Ahead).
