Every year, United Way of North Central Iowa hosts Day of Caring, a powerful day of volunteerism that brings people together to make a difference in the communities we serve. Teams of volunteers from businesses, service clubs, and community groups are matched with local nonprofits to tackle meaningful projects — painting, landscaping, organizing, repairing, and more.
Whether you’re a nonprofit with a project to complete or a team looking to give back, Day of Caring is a chance to roll up your sleeves and help your neighbors thrive.

Need extra hands for a big project? We’re here to help.
Day of Caring is your chance to get help completing a hands-on project that you may not have time or staff to complete. Past projects include organizing storage rooms, cleaning up outdoor spaces, interior painting, and small repairs.
